Spatula with Built-in Flashlight (Spring 2016)

I designed this spatula in my role as Head of Engineering at Blink Innovations, a small consumer products startup, in conjunction with the product designer and industrial engineer.

• Grip with built-in flashlight allows for easy grilling in the dark.

• Locking mechanism allows steel part to be removed and put in the dishwasher.

• Prototype met all requirements including water and corrosion resistance.

• Production was ultimately abandoned due to cost limitations.
